where to start

So much has happened since I last updated on my very neglected little blog... The two most important things you should know are that we've moved back to DC and baby number two is on the way, due in February! SOOO we've been kinda busy. Between getting settled back into DC, now with a toddler, and growing number two, I haven't been painting much. I'm happy to report though that I'm in the zone right now, and cranking out as much work as I can before her arrival. All of the new work will hit the shop at the same time, so be sure to check in frequently, or follow along on instagram for the latest updates.

For Ivy Scout

I'm so honored to be a part of the @forivyscout auction to benefit Kelly Fondots @kellyfondots and family as they focus on their 20 month old daughter who was just diagnosed with leukemia (start here to learn more). To ensure that money is the last thing this family has to think about during an incredibly tough time, I'm auctioning a painting, Cloud Study for Ivy. Please head to the auction feed and bid generously → @forivyscout #forivyscout

Life has changed

I'm cracking up thinking back to life pre-babe, when I thought that maternity leave would be a great chance to get back into the studio more often. What a dummy I was. All I've wanted to do for the last four months was stare into that darling face, talk baby talk, and sleep. Now that our guy is starting to find his routine, I'm finding my way back up to the studio.. mostly during nap time of course.

I'm so excited to be getting back in the habit of dedicating some time for myself. Being in the studio is such a stress reliever, and after a few months of loving on this baby I'd almost forgotten how much I enjoy being up there.

Hope you enjoy the new work :)
