Inspired by skies and clouds, my work encourages viewers to reflect on the beauty constantly above and remember that we all share the same sky. I hope that through my work viewers are inspired to look at their surroundings in a new way.
The use of metal leaf has become a signature feature of my paintings. I first started experimenting with gold and silver leaf in 2006 to mimic the depth and reflectiveness of the ever-changing sky, and have incorporated it into every piece since.
