florals

A few months ago, The Campbell Collective asked me to make some flowers for their Valentine’s Day release. When they asked, I was still trying to find a routine of getting back into the studio after baby number 3 (these were pre-covid times— now that schedule has gone out the window!) and jumped at the chance to mix it up AND have a deadline. I thrive on deadlines. ;)

Although I hadn’t painted flowers in several years, I still loved my poppies and lilygilder paintings and was excited to try flowers again but a in a new way. Well, consider me hooked. This first batch of orchids and magnolias were so fun to paint and definitely tugged at my heartstrings when I had to to pack and ship them off! The orchids are somehow still available on the Campbell Collective website and there will be another set of flowers headed off to the Campbell Collective in the next month or so!

The orchids all packed off and ready for their future homes!

Here’s a little peek at some of the new flowers I’ve been working on for the restock at Campbell Collective :)
