Inside the season that’s inspiring my next collection

Slow days, silver skies, and what’s coming next

Hi there,

I hope your summer is off to a great start! We’ll be in and out of DC over the next couple of months, with trips sprinkled in to visit family and friends. We’re wrapping up the season with a visit to Maine — neither my husband, Johnny, nor I have ever been, and we’re so excited to finally visit. If you have any favorite spots or must-dos, I’d love to hear!

With three young kids at home, I’ve learned to fully lean into the flexibility that comes with being an artist. My goal this summer is to embrace a slower pace — a “chill mom summer,” — less rushing, less screen time, and more room for spontaneous play and quiet moments. So far, it’s feeling like the right rhythm for all of us.

At the same time, I’ve been in such a creative flow lately. I’m working on a new series about capturing those fleeting, meaningful moments — the memories that make summer feel endless, even as it always seems to slip by so quickly. I’ll be releasing a small collection called Hold onto Summer in late July or early August, and I can’t wait to share it with you.

Whether you’re adventuring far or staying close to home, I hope this season brings you moments of stillness, wonder, and connection. Finding beauty in the everyday feels more important than ever right now — and I hope my work can be a small reminder of that.

A glimpse into the stillness I’m chasing this summer…
